Do you love to take portraits of kids, adults, pets? If yes, then this Canon gem of a lens is a must have.
I have been using the Canon 50mm prime lens since the last 11 years, and I carry it everywhere, all the time. It is my favorite portrait lens. For everyday photography, and specially for landscapes, I use the Canon EF 24-105mm F/4L IS USM Lens.
The images are amazing, crisp, and work wonders for people shots.
Some of the photos that I really like, and are taken by this Canon 50mm lens… for your viewing pleasure…
The Canon 50mm 1.8 Mark II was introduced in the early 1990s, and was used on early Canon DSLR cameras too.
On an APS-C format Digital Camera (crop sensor with 1.6 x factor), the Canon 50mm lens actually produces a 80mm image. But this is great for portraits of singles and couple shots.
This lens is the least expensive lens (around $100 USD only) produced from Canon. It has amazing sharpness and you can enjoy a prime lens that produces studio photographs anytime.
The 50mm f/1.8 uses a plastic lens mount. Considering how light the 50mm f/1.8 II lens feels, the plastic lens mount is most adequate from a strength perspective.
